Tiny landscape

Started during lunch break from a class taken at QuiltEssentials [http://www.quilt-essentials.com/] in Auburn, Maine, taught by JoDiggs http://www.mainecraftsguild.com/diggs.html.
I'd been working with 'realistic' landscape colors all morning and wondered what a wild landscape might look like. I used scraps from a huge scrap bin a fellow student brought to class and was kind enough to share.
Approx. 8.5" x 10". Hand appliqued, machine quilted. The center landscape area is slightly less than 2" x 2". Collection of the artist.
